Cody attended the University of Utah with a major in International Business and a minor in Spanish. He had the opportunity to live in South America for over 9 years, speaks fluent Spanish, and brings a strong knowledge of economies from around the world.
Coldwell Banker Commercial offered Cody a position to be a member of the retail team and join some of the most successful commercial brokers in the country. Cody has been a part of our retail team since 2003. He comes from a strong land development background, which he has been exposed to and worked with for the last six years. Cody now represents some large developers, landlords, tenants and investors. Cody also works very closely with the city planners in his area.
Cody currently represents one of the largest shopping centers in Salt Lake City, located in the Fort Union area. The shopping center has over 400,000 square feet and is anchored by retail giants such as Super Target, Home Depot, Circuit City, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, and TJ Maxx. He also represents other large shopping centers on State Street in Murray with over 150,000 square feet anchored by Shopko and Office Max. RiverPark Retail Center is another large development with about 30+ acres of retail being developed in the fast growing area of South Jordan. He exclusively represents the Fourels Investment Company who is one of the largest retail developers in Utah and has had the opportunity to work with tenants that include The Latitude Restaurant Group and Harry’s Steakhouse, Subway, Sport Clips, Gandolfo’s Deli, International Restaurant Concepts, Standard Optical, McKay Jewlers, T-Mobile, Bullfrog Spas, Artic Circle, Astro Burger, Hogi Yogi, H & R Block, Napa Auto, Gastronomy Restaurants, Mountain America Credit Union, Pier 49 Sourdough Pizza, and several others.
Cody also focuses on 1031 exchanges and retail investment properties, and has worked closely with several investors looking for the right retail investment opportunity that fits their needs. Cody is a very organized person and pays attention to even the smallest details in each deal, making sure that his clients best interests are looked out for. He is very customer services oriented and understands that ensuring the satisfaction of each client is very important.
