Mike joined Coldwell Banker Commercial in 2006 as a Portfolio Accountant. He currently handles all accounting and supervisory functions for a large portfolio of retail, office and industrial properties throughout the Western U.S.
His responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and the day-to-day accounting activity for the commercial properties. He is also heavily involved in developing Best Practices in commercial property accounting strategy. Mike is skilled in the YARDI Property Management accounting software and also has experience with the MRI Property Management accounting software.
Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial, Mike was a residential accountant for Coldwell Banker Residential in Salt Lake City. He provided extensive accounting support to over 15 branch offices.
His previous professional experience also included an accountant position with Uinta Business Systems in Salt Lake City.
Mike earned an Associates of Science Degree of Business from Grays Harbor Community College and later earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix in Salt Lake City. He is the recipient of several awards by the Utah Coldwell Banker Commercial office, including the Asset Services Best Practice Innovation Award and the 2008 Employee of the Month Award for the entire company.
